SCULPTURES AND FURNITURE

Cava Atelie, established by André Teixeira, Pedro Ávila, and Rodolfo Crespi, represents an exceptional collaboration that integrates three distinct talents, each with a specialty that substantially enriches the collective. The convergence of these skills results in a balanced fusion of high technology, classical sculpture, and contemporary design, positioning the studio as a landmark of originality and innovation in its creations.

The objects presented here, removed from their utilitarian function, possess a unique cognitive ability to express themselves. The choice of design as a starting point was not by chance: stripped of their original purpose, everything here stands out and needs to be acknowledged. The idea is that all materials—marble, wood, leather—are as significant as the mechanical arm that sculpts and shapes, and the bodies that interact with it. This suggests a new way of coexistence between body and matter.

Using the only robotic arm available in Latin America, some works from the atelier explore the limits of sculptural gestures, questioning the relationships between man and machine, matter and flesh, solidity and softness. This phenomenological approach sees creation as a continuous process of recreation, exploring the idea of escape and encounter with the landscape through mythology, showing how myth can have multiple interpretations.
