Andrew de Freitas (born 1986 in Aotearoa, New Zealand) based in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, studied art and philosophy at the University of Auckland.

Freitas employs a diverse range of tools and techniques, often combining them in innovative and overlapping ways. His artistic practice has developed across various contexts, leading him to found Ateliê Arte de Obra with Jarbas Costa and Manuel Rocha—a studio that extends both his art and building practices. The studio was established to provide space and resources for high-quality, distinctive projects. Freitas’ work, both in the studio and beyond, focuses on enriching everyday life by creating objects and images that bring beauty and charm to our surroundings.
