The Senior Armchair, designed by Jorge Zalszupin in 1959 and produced by his company L’Atelier, is a key example of Brazilian mid-century furniture. Zalszupin, a Polish-born architect who blended European modernism with Brazilian craftsmanship, used luxurious materials like solid rosewood, leather, and fabric in his designs. The Senior Armchair features round-section solid rosewood feet, a curved backrest, and a tufted fabric seat, available in a traditional four-legged wooden version or with distinctive T-shaped metal legs, making it suitable for both home and formal environments.
