The Lava Side Table, designed by Pedro Ávila in 2022, is part of his π collection—an exploration of sculptural furniture built around spherical geometries. Developed through clay modeling and digital 3D processes, the piece reflects Ávila’s experimentation with materials like marble, fibreglass, and volcanic basalt. With a circular top and base connected by a slender central column, the table balances visual softness with the solidity of stone. Its organic form and minimalist geometry make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, embodying the collection’s core dialogue between form, material, and spatial versatility.
