Through fusion, casting, polishing, and a continuous investigation into material behaviour, Alessi allows each object to reveal the traces of the gestures that shaped it, capturing moments of transition between physical states, as liquid matter is suspended, altered, and settled into a new state of permanence. Alchemical combinations and shifts in temperature become active agents in the work, shaping surfaces, densities, and forms that cannot be fully predetermined. Air pockets, molten fragments, and subtle variations emerge as records of the process, becoming part of the work’s language.
